Cast out of a car on a frigid winter day at the local K-mart parking lot, she endured over a year of solitude in the unforgiving elements and adjacent woods. Abused and terrified, she scavenged for scraps tossed by compassionate souls who heard about her plight.
Three rescuers, determined to make a difference, discovered her and named her “Angel.” Despite daily efforts to feed and socialize her, forming a bond of trust proved elusive. Even as winter intensified, other tormentors emerged, chasing her through the woods, shooting BB guns, and falsely painting her as a menace in the local newspaper.
Undeterred, the rescuers built her a shelter in the woods, providing warmth and sustenance. With collaboration from a vet and determined efforts, they finally managed to sedate her, but the ordeal took a toll, leaving her limp and unresponsive. Swift action, including chest compressions and a rushed trip to the vet, breathed new life into her on January 22, 2015.
Four days later, on January 26, 2015, she found her forever home. Over a year of rehabilitation transformed her into the smartest, most loving, and happiest dog. Now, she enjoys walks, sleeps at the foot of her owner’s bed, and embodies the true spirit of an “Angel.”
